  • Abstract

Genuine leaders affect the job life of followers and personnel positively. Genuine leaders motivate the employees emotionally and compel them for better job life. Healthy and positive job lives are only possible with the help of genuine leadership to perform tasks effectively. Leader is true in his own values and reflects originally him/herself as he/she is internally. The purpose of this study was to conduct path analysis of genuine leadership and job life of teachers by using smart partial least square software. Path analysis was done for the validation of instruments and determined the association between leadership and job life. Quantitative approach was employed to conduct survey study. Sample of the study was consisted of university teachers. They responded the questions regarding genuine leadership and job life on five point likert type scale. Data were collected personally and research subjects were briefed about nature of the study and necessary instructions were provided to them by researcher. Different statistical techniques were applied to analyze the relevant data by using SmartPLS software. Path analysis showed that there is strong positive relationship between genuine leadership and job life of teachers. The findings of the study indicated that instruments are valid and reliable which measured genuine leadership and job life. The outer loadings model shows the links among the latent variables and their indicators. Thus, there is need to conduct study on large sample to authenticate the results of this study.

  • Abstract

Contribution of higher education is very significant in better job opportunities and socio economic development of a country. The reforms in higher education in Pakistan are direly needed to face the future challenges in the age of technological disruption. The study aims at analyzing the higher education policies introduced by the Governments of Pakistan for examining the causes of success and failure of these policies, and suggestions for new education policy to meet the future challenges in higher education. The study is qualitative in nature. Data have been collected through document analysis, focus group discussion and semi structured interviews. A focus group discussion was conducted with 15 MPhil and 05 PhD scholars; whereas, interviews of 05 faculty members having PhD degrees in education sciences were accomplished through semi- structured interview schedule. The findings reveal that lack of proper funds allocation in higher education, deficiency of Higher Education Institutions in remote areas, dearth of research and innovation, scarcity of physical infrastructure and faculty incompatible with latest technological advancements are major hindrances in the progress of higher education in Pakistan. The key suggestions are; government should empower Higher Education Commission (HEC) with financial and administrative authority to provide quality higher education at the door steps of people according to local and global needs. Further, the rapid technological changes and developments may properly be adopted to improve the higher education. The government should ensure execution policies and plans related to the higher education, in true letter and spirit.

  • Abstract

This paper aims at exploring the perspective which conveys a specific political point of view concerning the socio-political issues in Pakistan. The paper primarily focuses on the transcription of the comic-cartoons by Kachee Goliyan. The research builds firstly on, to find out how ideologies are encoded overtly in comics and secondly, to analyse the way the comic-cartoons resonate with the opinion and sentiments of both artists and the readership. In this era of virtual communication, the importance of social-media cannot be denied which encodes both explicitly or implicitly rich semantic, pragmatic and most importantly, ideological flow to nullify the public opinion. The findings show that comic imagery found either online or in the print media such as images, highlight and engage socio-political issues to arouse satirical consciousness of the readers. In addition, portrayal of the intriguing glimpses of culture concerned helps the readers or viewers contribute to increased understanding in the world of manipulation and in cultures at large.

Playing computer games has been changed out to be one of the greatest exercises on the earth. This outcome seems that the effect of computer games on learners have left very important aspect. The existing writing has linked computer game utilization as being appositively related with each of these three components. This probation, utilizing an example of the under grade learners at public schools of Sindh, the population of current study was the public secondary schools of Sindh. The sample of this study consist of public secondary schools of SBA Sindh, the tool for the research study was five points likert scale. The current research study is descriptive by method and quantitative by purpose. On the basis of analysis it was found a measurably noteworthy relationship between computer game use and academic achievements. Measurably critical connections was not search out the utilization of game  and computer time management capabilities. It is necessary that learners know the effect of utilization of computer game left significant positive impact on their academic teaching learning process. This research study can fill the gap for establishment of future researches that would have a positive role on the learners that the computer game playing fulfills an important aspect on learner execution of modern knowledge through E-Learning.

  • Abstract

Positive motivation is an internal psychological process whose presence or absence is inferred from observed performance. This assertion shows that motivated behavior is both purposive or goal directed and relatively persists overtime. Motivation is always goal directed and leads toward achievement in life. Stress in fact mental and physical anxiety or pressure caused by physical, social, emotional, financial, or occupational circumstances that are challenging to accomplish. Stress is negative assertions that hold back the creativity of human beings. The major purpose of the study is to find out whether stressors or motivational factors are dominant in teacher educators. There is a variety of stressors are present i.e. as teacher educators’ evaluation procedure, work load, financial concern, implication of effective teaching methods, relations with administration, extra-curricular activities, policies and procedures of the institution. While motivators are also divers in nature such as time commitment, respect, experience, urge to be lifelong leaner, promotion and bonus etc. Data was collected from teacher educators of Sargodha division. The sample was selected through purposive sampling technique keeping in view preset criteria. Data was analyzed by using statistical package SPSS 0.05 version.  Bivariate statistical analysis was applied.  The key findings of the study are that stressors and motivators exists and there is insignificant difference between the junior and senior teachers stressors and motivators but extent varies therefore it is suggested that senior teachers should help junior teachers to cope with the stressors.

  • Abstract

Multidimensional self-report Welcoming School Scale (WSS) was developed and validated to examine general school’s capacity to intake students with disabilities. A pool including 46 items was created. In order to analyze factor structure, 23 items were chosen from the pool in viewing experts’ opinion. A sample of 430 teachers with various educational backgrounds was randomly selected. Twenty three items of Welcoming School Scale (WSS) were submitted to principal components analysis by using varimax rotation. A solution of four factors was obtained on the basis of eigenvalues and associated scree plot. The contents of the items were examined in detail with > .30 factor loadings on four factors in rotated solution by following the criteria of Kline (1986). The rotated factor solution was found to be more meaningful for the theoretical explanation of the factors, which produced the four subscales of Welcoming School Scale. For these four aspects eigenvalues were 3.13, 2.70, 1.96 and 1.82, respectively. The final Welcoming School Scale (WSS with 19 items) was found to be internally consistent as shown by value of alpha coefficient .71. The study also focused to explore the difference on mode of welcoming school with respect to various demographic variables. This study also measured differences between different age groups of teachers on WSS. The difference was examined with the help of t- test and ANOVA respectively and significant differences were found for three age groups. Results from t-test analyses produced considerable difference between males and females teachers on WSS, t (378) =5.36, p< .000. Male teachers showed significant and higher score on WSS as compared to female teachers. It has been concluded that future researchers may use WSS to analyze the welcoming and in-taking capacity of general school for students with disabilities along with their counterparts without disabilities.
